Inspiration To Go

What if inspiration was something you could pick up at the deli? Simply pull a number tab and wait your turn. While waiting (and practicing patience), you could take your time; look over your options.
Is a half-pound of inspiration enough? Should you get it sliced, so you can space the sustenance out over a day, a week, a month, a year? Should you purchase just enough to keep yourself going (inspired)? Or buy enough to share with the whole class - so to speak? Is it best to purchase inspiration in its leanest form, so it's not marbled up with an excess of doubt and fear?
And what if inspiration isn't enough?
We all have days like that - best intentions and all. Should you order some sides at the deli like laughter, hugs, a listening ear? Inspiration doesn't always come naturally or easily. Often it can feel like you're a the deli and you've pulled number 72 and they are "Now Serving" Number 12.
That's when a certain kind of inspiration may hit you - "I have JUST enough time to go across to the bakery department and maybe get a chocolate doughnut out of the self-serve case." No number to pull. No waiting.
It may not be the healthiest choice, but neither is choosing to feel the world is somehow against you because there are 60 people in front of you.
The point being that inspiration can strike at any time, anywhere. What counts is getting in that line, pulling that chance number. And if a sweet chocolate doughnut just happens to fall in your cart as part of the journey, well, enjoy.
